West Africa has a great oral tradition. The history of Africa is rich with oral tradition. Additionally, Ms. Mutheu and her team will join our oral history workshops via Skype. Metaphor is the transformational process, the movement from the real to the mythic and back again to the real—changed forever, because one has become mythicized, because one has moved into history and returned with the elixir.  It is therefore essential that we record and preserve the memories and life histories of these people while we still can.
